The Cade Prize serves to identify, recognize, and celebrate inventive minds and innovation in the state of Florida. Thank you to our Presenting Sponsor, Cox Communications. This year the Cade Museum received over 100 entries from around the state. The Final Four contestants are:
- Antibiotic Adjuvant | Gainesville, FL
- InitWeather | Orlando, FL
- Soilcea | Tampa, FL

In past years, the Cade Prize awarded a single applicant. This year, cash prizes will be awarded to the top four rankings. The winner of the Final Four will be announced at the Cade Museum’s annual Inventivity Bash on September 29th from 6 PM to 10 PM. First place will be awarded $25,000, second place $15,000, third place $7,500, and fourth place $2,500. Funding for the prize is provided by the Community Foundation of North Central Florida. The Cade Museum’s Inventivity Bash is an annual event that celebrates ideas and innovations that have the potential to transform lives and communities. This year’s iBash theme is Illuminating Invention. The evening’s program has been designed for exploration whether you are a scientist, inventor, or have an interest in both. There will be table presentations featuring the Final Four teams, demonstrations, hands-on interactives, a scavenger hunt, and the awarding of the Cade Prize.
